At what battery level does solar panel charging begin ? 90, 80, 70 % or other ?

You posted in the Essential Outdoor 2nd Gen area but then started it's a VMC3030 which is a legacy cameras that uses 4 CR123 batteries which doesn't support solar panels. Which is it?

I ass-u-me that it's 99% although some newer doorbells don't charge that way when connected to house wiring.

That's a bundle sku - what you have is two VMC3050 cameras (Essential 2nd gen).

Gen 3 Essentials have a recharge threshold of around 65%.  But I think the Gen 2 cameras don't behave that way, they will trickle charge as soon as the battery drops below 100%
