I want to purchase the Arlo Essential XL HD Wireless Security Camera 3-pack with Solar Panel bundle being offered on HSN.  However, I need to be able to store all videos locally for later viewing.  Even though these cameras can communicate directly to my WiFi router, and I can see the videos on my cellphone, my understanding is that I need a SmartHub or Base Station that has maybe a 1 TB storage brick attached to it?  What is supported and how do I do it?

For local recordings you need a SmartHub and connect all cameras to the hub rather than your WiFi. Once the system is set up, go to the hub's settings and click on Storage Settings. Depending on the hub you purchase, you'll need a USB drive (thumb drive recommended)  for the VMB4540 or a microSD card for the VMB5000. 1TB is overkill but would be fine.
