I'm not sure what's wrong with my unit but I am not able to talk to the person who rang my door bell , When they push the doorbell it goes straight to some sort of voicemail  ??

Is Silent Mode activated in the doorbell settings? I'm not sure that would be the issue but it's worth checking.
