Sorry for my poor English

i just bought two Essential outdoor 2nd Gen and located them near the door inside my home

But i found out that the video recording is delay started around 2-3 sec (i.e. 1) the replay was started from the door is already opened and myself is already walked two/three steps into the home and 2) when i tried to run fast into the home, the replay was started from i almost run out to the picture which is only showed my back and the face haven't record in the replay).

Can someone help to solve the problem, i just want to start the record when the door is opening.

Background:

1) My motion setting is already set to highest and all motion actions are ticked

2) The distance between cam and door is around 0.4m and placed in 1.3m height.

Another question, Is smart hub vmb4540 not support Essential outdoor 2nd Gen?

The delay is due to the need to wake the camera, start the connection to the servers and then start recording. It's the nature of a cloud-based setup. However, you can get around this by using the outdoor AC power adapter to allow the camera to have the 3 second "look-back". That means the camera is always awake and ready and buffers those 3 seconds so that is added to the beginning of the recording.

And the VMB4540 does support the Essential 2 cameras.

I don't think this can be solved.  The camera response to these triggers are simply slow.  The only way to "solve" it is to dump ARLO get away from nightmare (slow cameras is just the beginning)

oh, this is the basic requirement for the security cam. If this is true, then i need to find another cam and never use this brand again..

Yes.  Arlo calls it "Foresight"; it is often called "pre-roll".
