I have a smarthub VMB4540r4 after my free subscription ended..  I started to setup local storage with no luck.

Under routines /arm away I can add cameras, but the new cameras default to Motion->Notification. When attempting to edit the settings the record option is grey’d out and the info link says” upgrade your icloud and enable video recording and shapshots” Upgrade now” ????

Local storage settings don’t show a Direct Storage Access to turn on?.

Any help is greatly welcomed…Thank you

My older cameras connected to older base have the record option..

This should be right under "Best Local Recording" and "Overwrite Automatically"

If you have all your legacy cameras connected to a different base, then you could try removing the ones on this base and the base itself from the account.  Then do a paperclip reset of the base, and add the base and cameras back.  PITA of course.

If you do have legacy cameras paired with the smarthub, then you could have problems adding them back if you remove them.  Several other users have reported this.

What storage device did you connect to the smarthub?  Does it have at least 16 GB of storage?

Legacy cameras were sold with free 7-day cloud storage.
