How do I remove the camera from its ball mount so I can bring it inside to charge

Look on the base for a triangle that is embossed on it.  Move the camera in the direction of the arrow on the triangle, and it will slide off the base.

If you can't figure that out, then just unscrew the camera, and it will detach.  Then you will easily be able to remove the mount from the base.
