After operating 3 Arlo outdoor cameras and 2 doorbells for 2 months on May 3, 2024 I was called by Arlo and offered a "Lifetime Premium Service Fee".  The cost seemed high, $549.99 but provided "unlimited devices, cloud storage interactive notifications and 4k recording". I was assured there would be no more expenses and so I made the purchase.

All was ok until last week when I could no longer access live pictures. That option was terminated. So I called Arlo support who tells me all I received for my $549 was "cloud Storage". If I wanted to see or record live events, I needed ANOTHER $599  for their Lifetime Plan!

This seems like a rip-off to me and so I wondered if others are having a similar experience with Arlo Premium Service Plans?

I think you were scammed (and not by Arlo).  They do not offer Lifetime plans.

@A5329 We do not offer any plans of that type. I would suggest reaching out to your financial institution as soon as possible and letting them know what happened. If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Yup, got it now…now that I’m out $549! Moral NEVER respond to a phone solicitation. That said these scammers were very good and STILL answer the phones # #as Arlo, then connect you to “appropriate” technician…

I suggest disputing the charge through your credit card company.
