I added 2 Arlo Essential 2nd Gen Wireless Cameras and an Arlo Doorbell to my other Arlo cameras. After the free subscription ended the new cameras and doorbell no longer are capable of recording video and sending it to the feed. My older cameras and base station still record video and send them to the feed. I bought the new cameras thinking that they would work the same as my older cameras. They do not. I think I will be forced to pay for a subscription for them to work. The Arlo policy used to be you could have a weeks worth of videos saved without a subscription and that is how my older cameras still work. This is frustrating. Am I missing something on how to get them to show up on the feed? If the new cameras wont work like the old I will probably just try to find older cameras that actually work.  Why did Arlo change the free service that used to work just fine for my needs. I don't want to pay for a subscription just to use Arlo cameras.

Arlo stopped offering free 7-day cloud storage for new camera models back in 2018, and all of the currently sold cameras require a subscription for cloud storage.

If you purchased a VMB4540 base, you could connect the new cameras to that smarthub and use the direct access to local storage feature.  There are a lot of limitations with this feature, so I suggest posting back and asking about them if you are interested in pursuing this option.
