Constant Clicking Sound

I recently replaced several of my interior cameras with the Essential Outdoor 2nd generation model. The cameras constantly make intermittent clicking sounds. I understand from reviewing prior posts that this is the IR filter adjusting, but it occurs even with night mode turned off. How can you get a camera to stop clicking altogether?

AFAIK, Night Mode simply determines if the IR LED is used for illumination. It would seem that additional ambient light needs to be added (or turn lights off). I suspect the camera detects the light level right on its threshold of decision as to whether color or B&W must be used for recording.
