Posting only to possibly help others, I've had the very 1s original 1080p Cr123A battery operated cameras for many years now. Have had issues for quite some time with Library not updating motion triggers before midday everyday and arlo support apparently not available for us no more. In the last few days clicking on the camera or base settings icon (old app) it would display "getting settings" but never load so couldn't use the 'camera position' option after replacing batteries. So was forced to factory reset base station and reload cameras and was automatically charged to the new app which after setup did not have 'Library' option to view motion recordings which was 1 of the main reasons of original purchase having free 7day cloud storage! After a bit of searching many posts saying 7day free cloud storage has been discontinued but by fluke I clicked on the number in a circle next to the settings icon (for each camera) (number displayed is the unwatched motion recordings) this brings up the Library of recordings.. can click anywhere (except the play/live stream icon or settings icon) on the camera display and access the 7day cloud recordings. I'm using android devices. Hope this helps someone.

Arlo support is rubbish and I would recommend their products to anyone.

FWIW, 720p.  The first 1080p camera was the Pro 2 (VMC4030p).

No, not the case.  They stopped including 7-day storage on new camera models back in 2018.  But the cameras sold with it still have that storage.

You should still be able to livestream - not sure if you are  saying you cannot do that or not.

If you now see "Feed" in your app menu, that is the "new" Library.

  • You are right they are only 720p cameras.
  • Also correct with 7day cloud storage recordings with this old model. (For now I'm guessing anyways) Now listed under "Feed" rather than in the older app under "Library".
  • Yes I can still live feed as well as manual record and snapshot.
  • Many thanks for your replys. Hope this helps others if they have same issues.
