Hi,

I have added Arlo Essential Indoor cameras recently (on top of a series of Ultra 2 cameras I have).

However, each time I disarm Arlo through the app, I get multiple notifications (one for each essential indoor camera) saying "the privacy shield is closed".

--> How do I remove this notification ? I don't need to know that the privacy shield is closed, I know it is, since I have disarmed the cameras... It's obvious

Thanks !

Interesting - my camera doesn't do that. Are you using the old user interface (UI) that uses Library to view videos or the new one that uses Feed? How are the cameras connected - to your WiFi or to a hub? Have you tried rebooting your phone and reinstalling the app as well as power cycling the cameras (and hub if so connected)?

Hi - thanks for your reply.

I am using the smart Hub (5x ultra2 cameras + now added 2x indoor essential cameras). I have a Geofencing rule (away= fully armed, and home = only arm the Ultra2 cams which our outside)

The notification of Privacy shutter closed on the indoor cameras does show up each time I push the "Disarm" button on my Arlo app. As per screenshot.

Interestingly, it only does this on Android devices, while it does NOT show on the iPhone devices (which are within the household). So that seems like a Software issue surely ? I have seen someone asking about it on this forum as well, a couple yes ago, but it does not seem he's ever got it solved.

Thanks

FYI, you didn't answer @jguerdat's question:  "Are you using the old user interface (UI) that uses Library to view videos or the new one that uses Feed?"

Note the current app supports both interfaces - you need to look at the app screen and see if you see "Feed" and "Dashboard" at the bottom, or whether you see "Library".

FWIW, @jguerdat uses Android, and his account is set to provide the "Feed" UI.

Thanks. I have the latest version of the app installed, and bottom of the app displays "Library" rather than the Feed you mention

Just an FYI - the last few versions of the app support two different UIs - the old one that uses Library and the new one that uses Feed. Thus, the version of app doesn't matter as long as it's current.

As mentioned above, I use the Android app and the new UI. To be clear, we now know that you use the old UI but don't know about the phone and OS which could be iOS. SInce I don't have the issue, I'm guessing that your issue is due to use of the old UI and/or the iOS app. Can you test with a different type of phone (Android if you're using iOS) as well as use of the web client (my.arlo.com)?

Having the same issue... manually disarming my cameras causes the "privacy shield closed" notifications on my iPhone. Using the most current Arlo app available for iPhone.
