I am reaching out to the community because I cannot seem to contact support any other way. The support button on my app does not allow me to access any kind of support.

I was gifted these cameras from a friend. He helped set them up and since then I have moved into a different home with these cameras. I also do not have a subscription. Upon set up, it seems as if I am not the main account holder. I have no access to change the internet settings (like the network I can connect to), no access to manually reset the device through the app (states "There are no devices associated with this Arlo account"), nor do I have permission to grant access to anyone else, for example, my husband. Does this model normally not allow for any additional access to friends? Under settings, nothing is under "my devices," and under "shared devices," it only shows the cameras I currently have set up in the home.

Could the main account holder of these devices be controlled or managed by someone outside of the home? How do I know if I am the only primary account holder?

This is a matter of my security and safety and I would like to have some answers, since the support for Arlo, is nowhere to be found for those who do not have a Secure Plan.

It sounds like he is the primary account holder.  Have you reached out to him?

So I am not the primary account holder by the sound of it? No, I cannot contact him and I would like to find out before I search for him.

  1. He set up the accounts
  2. You have no cameras in your account

So he must be the primary account holder.

Note the cameras can only be in one account at a time.  If they were ever in your account, then the only way that could change would be if

  1. you removed the cameras (and base stations if you have them) from the account
  2. someone else added the equipment to their account
  3. the person then shared the cameras with you via an invite in an email message
  4. and you accepted that invitation by clicking on "create account" in the email.
