Hello,

I have recently purchased the Arlo Essential Indoor Gen 2 while cannot connect my Wi-Fi network

My router is Linksys Velop Mesh Router

Have already tried the following

- Separate 2.4g with 5g

- Apply WPA2 Security Portal

- Factory Reset Arlo Cam

- The phone is connect to the same network

- Disable all VPN connection

- Changing the network name to English only without any number or symbol

- Restart my router

I have also tried to use hotspot sharing from my android device while the Arlo is able to connect using the android device network.

What network security option I should adjust as my router is all on default option and if this is a faulty product?

Appreciate to have your comment.

WHat encryption is being used? Generally, Arlo likes to see WPA2 (AES) although WPA3 with WPA2 compatibility should also work.

It's already in WPA2

If you mean that you've set up a captive portal (requiring authentication) then you need to turn this off.

Is Bluetooth enabled on the phone during the install?  The install for the Gen 2 requires it.

Also, make sure you are choosing the Gen 2 cameras when you "add device".  If you don't see that option, then you might be in a country where the cameras aren't yet supported.

I also got arlo essential outdoor while this product can discover my wifi. Only the essential indoor is not working.

@link0518 can you please dm me the email address associated with the Arlo account? You send a dm by clicking on the envelope icon on the top right of the forum page.If you don't see it, then go into your profile settings and select preferences, then "Private Messenger." Then select "Turn on private messages" if it is turned off.
