I have a dozen Arlo cameras of various models including three Essential Indoor 2nd Gen. mentioned here.

These three cameras often "automatically" display a very high video brightness regardless of where I have manually set them.

To correct this, I set a camera on +2 brightness, wait for it to settle in, then continue on down until I reach a brightness level that I want.

That works for a period of time until it doesn't.  Then the camera displays extreme brightness again until I go through my "corrective" procedure again.

What gives?  Anyone else have this trouble.

This does not happen with any of my other cameras - only the Essential Indoor Gen.2.

Interesting. Mine don't do that. Have you removed one camera from your account, reset it and then added it back?

I haven't removed and added back yet.

I like to first ask if it is a system problem as opposed to being confined only to me.

And, I find it odd that this problem only occurs on all three of the cameras in question and not on any of the others.

So, my first suspicion was that it is a flaw in those cameras or perhaps a firmware problem.

I can only speak for my devices which don't do that. Since you're the only one I know of that has the issue I would try the single camera remove/reset.re-add. According to https://community.arlo.com/t5/Firmware-Release-Notes/Arlo-Firmware-Release-Table/m-p/1920885#M791 the E2 indoors cameras last got a firmware update March 10, 2025 so it's been a while.
