Trying to figure out if the 2nd Generation Essential Indoor Camera can be used away from my home WiFi? Want to use it to monitor hotel room while I’m not there. Thanks

You'd need to connect it to the hotel wifi, or to a mobile hotspot.

Unfortunately many hotels won't let you connect until you enter some information (name and room number, or a code of some kind) on a web page.  You'd need a hotspot in those hotels.
