Can I set my essential camera to record for a set period of time once motion is detected? Also, when motion is detected can recording go back a set period of time and capture time prior to motion detected? Basically want to be sure I catch all things leading up to motion detection.

dhenry99,
You can choose within your modes/rules how long your camera will record once it has detected motion (up to a maximum of 300 seconds).
The Arlo Foresight feature allows the camera to record content prior to the motion that triggered the camera, but this feature is not available for Arlo Essential series cameras. For more information, take a look here: How does the Foresight feature work on my Arlo camera?
