I have an arlo baby that I access through various devices throughout my house- including an echo show and an iPad and iPhone. I have recently started using a Samsung galaxy A5 with the arlo app on as my monitor in the bedroom at night. Unfortunately it seems, unlike with the iPads/ echos, the Samsung requires me to login with my password every time. This is quite annoying- there is not even the option to save my login details. It saves my username but not my password. I have tried deleting then reinstalling the arlo app, and unticking fingerprint access from the app.

Hey Alexsletters,

If you have a fingerprint scanner on your phone, try to disable and re-enable it through the Arlo app. Also try restarting your phone to see if that helps.

This does not help- the device is solely used as a baby monitor, so needs to be accessed by a number of people- so having fingerprint access won’t work. In iCloud app- it has a tick box to remember details, so you don’t have to put in password everytime, it just opens when you click on the app logo- but the android app does not have this. Might have to go back to my iPad...

When you say you close out the app, are you force closing out the app or just exiting the app? Try logging out of the app, uninstall the app, restart your phone device, install your phone device, and re-login. Make sure when you're logged in, you're not accessing your account on a different device at the same time.

No I am just pressing the hone button to exit the app. Should I actually be logging out?

You don't need to log out when closing the app since it should just sign you in automatically. I was giving out steps to try out so we can see if logging out, reinstalling the app, and restarting your phone device would resolve the issue.

What does “force closing” mean? I just minimise view and press the home key to exit app. Is the right? I have tried above steps but did not help. However have got round the issue by taking password protect/fingerprint access off the whole phone and just using swipe access. Can do this as phone is just used as the baby monitor. Prob does not help people actually using the app on their proper Samsung phone though.
