3 different houses, roughly 3 to 4 times a day our camera won't connect with our either of our iphones and ipad. Ungodly frustrating.

Can you please provide more detail? Is this occurring on Wi-Fi or mobile data since you said it occurs from different houses?
Does the baby camera connect over the web portal?
May I ask which troubleshooting steps you have performed so far? I don't want to suggest any prior methods you have previously performed.
