Hi All!

I was just wondering if there is a better way to set up the Arlo Baby Camera. Is there a way to connect directly to the camera on the local network? My wife and I have had issues connecting to the camera regularly, the connection will just spin, the feed will cut out, etc. I think the main issue is the fact that you have to log in remotely to the Arlo server which seems to be inefficient. I like having that ability if we are out for the evening and want to check in but when it comes to using it as an everyday baby monitor has been less than a stellar experience and my wife is ready to ditch it altogether. Any help would be great!

thanks,

Chris

When you are home, The Baby does recognize the "local network' and sort of shunts it more directly to your device ( to slow down lag )...

When out , there is no other option but thru the arlo server to your phone.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the reply. But, I have never noticed any difference in lag whether on or off my network. Is there a way to connect it to a hub so that everything is managed locally?
