Camera is always stuck on "connecting"

Help! For the last month our baby camera doesn't connect 6 out of 10 times when you open the app on your phone. Over the last year, the app and camera mostly worked, with hiccups every now and then. However, now, the camera is completely unreliable and more often than not we're in the dark wondering what's happening in our baby's room because the camera has either stopped working or wont work all together. We have the app set to function both with wifi and data, and it doesnt connect. This happens on everyone's phones and even when wifi is strong or only data is being used. What can we do about this? Does the product have a 1 year lifespan and it's just completely gone?
