Baby Arlo need base station?

I already have 4 Arlos and 1 ArloPro. Can I use this Baby Arlo independently on its own, or does it need to connect to the base station?

From the specs, it appears to run as a single camera ( like the Q ) without base.

Look at CES info as it's on display and being touted there during the show ( and search as web has articles on it already )
