Arlo Baby: Is there a way to make it work without Internet connection?

Hi, 

Now that Netgear has confirmed that they won't be releasing a standalone, dedicated monitor for Arlo Baby, is there a way to get Arlo Baby to work without an internet connection? 

The only reason I wanted to get the dedicated monitor was that it could work without an internet connection. We have Comcast and they normally have an outage every other night due to "scheduled maintenance".

all data flows to the far server and back to u.

Thanks much! That's what I was afraid of. 

I got the Arlo Baby early last year when they were still promising the standalone monitor, if I had known about this, I would've never bought this device in the first place.
