Looking to add to doorbell. When I plug it in the white light does not stay on as it is supposed to. Sync button to reset doesn't have any noticeable effect. Any suggestions?

Swapping at the store may be the fastest solution.

Unfortunately, that's not an option as it's not outside of warranty. The doorbell that went with it also died, presumably due to its exposure to the elements. The chime had a pretty easy (and short) life. Hoping it can be revived with instructions from someone who has had the same experience.

When you reset the chime, did you use these directions?

If so and no luck, all I can think of is a faulty chime.
