All, I'm hoping someone on this forum can help me because I've encountered nothing but frustration.

I've had a Model AVD1001 installed for the last year. I recently got a new router and consequently a new wifi and password.  Upon advice, I have updated the camera firmware, updated the app, uninstalled the camera.  Can not get it to scan the QR code.  In that regard, I've held it at 4 inches, held it 6 inches. moved it out slowly, changed the angle, cleaned the lens, tried it in the sun, in the shade, at night, turned brightness up on my phone, turned brightness down on my phone.  I've reset the device at least 20 times. It never displays a solid white ring for longer than a second when i try to reset.  (My understanding is that after resetting I add the device, following the prompts provided on the app.  I believe that i SHOULD get a solid white ring, at which point I should press the doorbell button after which I should get the blinking white ring.  As it is, I'm only getting the blinking ring and I have tried to scan the QR code at that point to no avail. )  I am am definitely using the correct password and confirmed that the wifi is 2.4GHz network.  I have rebooted my router.  I've turned off the breaker for 15 minutes and turned it back on.  The only action I get from the device is a blinking led circle. Frankly I don't know what else to do. Unless someone proposes a better idea tomorrow I'm going to turn off the breaker, pull the power kit out of the doorbell chime box and reinstall it from scratch.  I'd like not to do that if someone has a better idea.  I'm at the point of hiring an election and/or buying a Ring.  Oh, and I've chatted with support at least 4 times. Has anyone else encountered this?  Any solutions out there?  Thanks.  I am so exasperated with this thing I'm ready to tear my hair out.

Too late now but a far easier solution would have been to change the WiFi in the new router to the old SSID and password. All devices would then automatically connect normally.

When you reset the doorbell, did you hold the button for >15 seconds until the ring started flashing?

I tried changing the wifi to the new router.  It wouldn't take the change because I had an old version of the app.  When I updated the app version, the chat help suggested I delete the device and re-add it.  And that's when the trouble started.

I cannot tell you how many times I held down the reset button for 15 seconds - but at least a dozen times.

I initially misinterpreted your response about changing the new router to the former SSID and password.  Apologies.  Yep.  That would have made a lot of stuff much easier.  This has definitely been a learning process.
