Got a replacement doorbell. Can I replace doorbell itself or replace piece that connects chime box?

So to make a long story short we had to get a replacement doorbell cam from Arlo since we were having many issues with the one we bought. I didn't get around to putting in the new one right away and now plan to do it, but I seem to remember the tech from Arlo saying that when we install the new cam we would also have to change out the piece that connects to the chime box as well but can't be positive.
So can I just replace the doorbell itself or do I also have to replace the piece that connects with the chime box?
Thanks

If all worked before, simply replacing the doorbell is needed. Remove the old one from Settings, My Devices and then connect the new one.
Of course, if it was the power adapter for the chime that was causing the problems, changing it, also, would be a good idea.
