Arlo Doorbell - No phone call over WIFI

Hi all,
Set up my Arlo Doorbell yesterday and all seemed OK, however with further testing I have encountered the following deal breaking issue:
The doorbell will not ring my phone IF it is joined to my home WIFI. Over 4g the doorbell will indeed ring my phone.
Has anybody encountered this? I've seen several similar issues, but can't find a solution to this particular one? Naturally I'd like my phone joined to my home network, and I will be returning the doorbell very quickly if there isn't a solution for this.
Hardware:
Base station: VMB3010r2
Base station SW: 1.12.4_2772
Doorbell: 1.3
Doorbell FW: 1.2.0.0_297_268
Device: Samsung S8+, Android 9.0
I have removed any battery optimisation from the Arlo app and ensured that all notifications are ON.

I don't know of a reason for this - I get calls over WiFi and cell service. A reinstall of the app and a reboot of the phone may help. I would also try a different phone for testing.
