Arlo Audio Doorbell Will Not Ring

I have hooked this thing up followed step by step and in ANY setting (1,2 or 3) it will not ring my chime. When I am placing the cover on it will ring then does not respond when I push the button....simply hums. Frustrating, any ideas?
