As Arlo continues to improve and optimize our platform, we will be implementing adjustments to our variable video compression that optimizes the size of videos transmitted to and from our platform. One such update will be rolling out this week to Arlo Q and Arlo Q Plus Indoor Security Cameras (model VMC3040 and VMC3040S) that are not connected to Arlo Smart.
With more than 4.25 million registered accounts serving up more than 144 million video events a day, Arlo is working hard to optimize our cloud platform as it continues to grow and as usage varies dynamically around the globe. This user base is built on a broad suite of products, from security cameras, smart doorbells and floodlights, and enhanced with AI and computer vision to deliver smarter monitoring and notifications.
Users can always maximize their video quality by connecting their cameras to Arlo Smart. Arlo Smart not only optimizes the video quality of your Arlo hardware, it also provides enhanced cloud recordings including tags for people, packages, vehicles or animals detected which you can easily sort through in your library. Additionally, with Arlo Smart, cloud recordings will be stored for a full 30 days.
