We are experiencing an outage of our ReadyCloud service and are working to resolve the issue..
As promised in our last announcement, new versions of the Arlo iOS and Android apps are now available for you to download from the App Store and Google Play, if they have not already automatically updated.
Besides bug fixes, the updated apps should reduce the live video streaming latency that you might have been experiencing. During our testing, we found that the latency has significantly been reduced using Local Streaming. When your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network (SSID) as Arlo Baby is, you are “local streaming” the video through your Wi-Fi router. If you are not local streaming, the latency is more noticeable, as the data is sent to the cloud before getting to your mobile device. For more information on this, click here.
Video latency will vary based on environmental factors such as your internet speed, the number of Wi-Fi connected devices you have running, or the distance between Arlo Baby and your router. However, if you don’t see any improvement in live video streaming with this new version of the app, please give our Product and Engineering team a quick email at email@example.com and we will work with you to troubleshoot.
