Yes, just connect a flash drive or external drive to the usb on the back of the base station. Then configure via the app to record video to the usb device. It will send motion clips to the cloud And to the USB drive

Yes,

Arlo will keep 7 days od motion activated clips for all cameras ion their cloud which you may access via mobile ap or web browser for free. The subscriptions extend the 7 days to longer time frames depending on the subscription.

Also; if you store on USB drive it will hold as mideo as the drive will hold. You can set it to stop when full or start over writing oldest clips when it gets full.
