Floodlight Camera (FLW2001) doesn't illuminate upon motion

My new Floodlight camera doesn't light up for motion. Its the primary reason that I bought it for and it doesn't do what I want. I can manually turn the lights on and off, but it just doesn't respond to motion after dark. I've tried adjusting the setting to no avail.

Do I have a bad one or am I missing something?

Mine does turn on after dark when it detects motion.

Are you getting motion notifications after dark?
Did you look in the default mode settings at the default light behavior settings? (both brightness and ambient light sensitivity)?

Yes, it recorded my neighbor's cat.

I think I've tried to reset all settings to their default.

Go into the default mode settings and check the settings I suggested. Also make sure nightvision is enabled.
