Arlo buying 2nd hand, grandfathered plan still work?

Ive had Arlo for 7? Years? It was free when bought Still is for me no subscription and I can record to the cloud , saved for 7 days. When do we need to start paying for subcription? When will my free plan go away and ability to record and view from cloud ?

If I recall if I don't get a plan I will only be able to see recordings that are saved on a SD card that I will have to pull and plug into a laptop if correct?

Can I buy a 2nd hand set of Arlo cams? And be able to use the cloud feature currently?

All of the legacy cameras (Pro 2 and older) still have the free 7 day, 5 camera plan. You only need a subscription if you want other features or if the camera count exceeds 5. You can use 2nd hand cameras but you need to be able to ensure that they were removed from the original owner's account before you can use them.

You can also use local recordings on a VMB4xxx base as you suggested. VMB3xxx bases can't record locally.
