I just found a arlo camera in my house that is not mine. Can the serial/model be used to determine when and who purchased the camera???

Do you have any idea on how long the camera has been there?

A couple of thoughts -

The first is to identify the camera model. If the camera housing opens, then you can take the camera out of the housing and remove the battery. There is a label inside that will give you the model. If the camera does not open, then look for a label that starts with VMC. This might be on the rubber seal around the charging port, or it might be on the back of the camera. It can be hard to see.

If the camera is the Go or Go 2 model, then it connects to mobile data network. You could remove the SIM card, and perhaps use that to track down the mobile data account.

If the camera is not a Go or Go 2, then it connects to a nearby wifi network. If the camera is still active, then it would probably be connected to your wifi network. So you could look in your router's device list, and see if you can find the camera listed there.

If you suspect someone of surveillance, then I also suggest contacting law enforcement.
