Try looking in your router's security/access control settings, and see if it is preventing the base from connecting to the internet.

FWIW, removing the base from your account wasn't needed, and may be part of your problem. There are several folks who have had some issues re-adding VMB4000 base stations to their acccount.

I have an EOL arlo pro - still was working UNTIL i upgraded my router. I am trying to update base station and one camera but there is no option to update wifi on the arlo app. This souldn’t be so difficult. I ended up deleting base station and trying to set up all over but can’t find my network! HELP! Do I need to throw this away? I can’t get support because my old system is no longer supported. Don’t understand - this was working just fine but because I upgraded my router and wifi I can’t get this old system back on?????

Changing your router won't affect Arlo since the base has to connect via the Ethernet cable, not your WiFi. The base creates its own WiFi to which the cameras then connect. What base do you have (look for the label on the bottom for VMBxxxx)? What do the LEDs on the base show?

Hi thank you for helping - any advice welcome. I plugged in the base right to the router - arlo searched for wifi but got a message couldn’t find it

Vmb 4000

amber night but during search - for a second all three green light but then back to amber. Tried to sync - tried sync/reset.

deleted base and set up. Nothing works

Again, the base doesn't use your home wifi. Did you connect the ethernet cable between the base and the router?

The app (and my.arlo.com) shouldn't be searching for wifi when you add the base, as the base doesn't connect over wifi.

Did you check that the extender has a good connection to your router?

Yes extender is working and Base is and base continues with solid amber light. This has to do with the new router and wifi - it was working fine prior to the new router

Thank you - I think at this point it is to much of a time suck. We also have a Eufy - which was no problem at all to update with wifi. Knowing was a PIA Arlo is - I think I’ll purchase another Eufy and trash the Arlo. Appreciate all your advice
