There are some conditions other than usage that could cause faster than normal battery drain. What is the WiFi signal strength like for the affected camera? Is this happening on more than one camera or just a single camera? The issue could be interference or poor signal strength due to range that is causing the camera to struggle to maintain a connection with the base station, If you have more than one, consider swapping locations with a camera that is behaving normally to see if the issue follows the camera.

Is something wrong with the battery level sensor? How could my battery level drop from 60% to 6% in one afternoon... No unusual activity took place. Should I be worried that this could be hardware failure related?

My front camera went from 36% to 91% after latest firmware updates. I restarted everything numerous times, and days later the camera is reporting 90% now. This is after having the camera running for over 2 months averaging 2 min. Per day. Weird.
