Thanks for the reply, but I think 20% is a pretty big difference. Since both readings seem to be different. How can you trust either. They both could be wrong. They work seem to work just fine. Though I have to wonder if they would work even better. There shouldn't be any differences, stat wise, using different apps.

on the arlo app, all of my cameras show 2 bars and 80% wifi strength. on the website, it shows full wifi bars, but has no listed percentage. Which am i to go by?

Yes... 20% may be a big diff, I guess it is really in the diff code of the apps how it appears...

What I meant was ( re don't worry about it ) is I haven't seen the quality or problems appear unless it was in the <30% range in signal strength.

I am seeing the same behaviour. I do not even see a percentage number in any of the apps. My iPhone Arlo app shows 2 bars most time. However, the web app always shows 3 bars(full). I have no idea which one is correct and I cannot find out where to check the wifi strength percentage. My video clips sometimes show a lot of pixels on moving objects. Night view has a lot of pixels too. Sometimes, the videos clips have some green areas. I am thinking to reposition the base to another place that can connect to my wifi extender. BTW, the base actually is not too far from the camera. Let's say the distance is just the diagnoal distance of a 2 car garage.

The symptoms you are describing sound like poor signal strength or interference. Did relocating the base help resolve the issue?

Hi James,

I relocated the base next to my front door which is about 7 steps away from the camera. I am now getting full bar. I also tried another location about 15 steps away and it's also fine. However, when I have it to a location like 30 steps away then it's not always full bar.
