The web client has always timed out after 30 minutes of inactivity. You can keep it alive by doing anything in the browser tab. This is said to be a security issue so you don't walk away from a display that others can access.

An annoying 'feature' with the Web portal. Works fine except for one feature. After so long the connection times out. One has to log in to the oortal again to continue. Is there any way to ensure the connection does not time out whilst the portal is running? If the portal app is closed no problem but whilst in use needs to remain live. Most annoying.

Hardly a solution, more an explanation. Can see no reason why timing out after a set period should not be a default BUT there does need to be an option to turn the automatic timer off

The solution is to do something in the display as I stated before. Whether you agree isn't the issue - it's what you must do.
