The camera in the basement is the closes one to the station - I only use it 5 days a week and most days I turn it off because I get too many alerts so I need to reposition the two outside - the one in the basement never sends alerts because no one goes down there.

I have only had camera 2 mos

Vallorie

Vallorie,

You indicate that the camera is in your basement. It could be that this camera is struggling to maintain a connection with the base station depending on where the base station is. This can cause battery drain. If you would like to contact Arlo support for further assistance see here: Arlo Support Team

nngnng,

How much are you using your cameras? How long are your batteries lasting? Under normal usage batteries should last 4-6 months. For more information take a look here: What is the battery life for NETGEAR Arlo wireless cameras and how can I extend their life?

Also the battery least used in basement is at 4% and the two outside (back at 69%) front (93%) how crazy is this - they are the ones most used - now something is wrong -- so I understand when I change one camera battery I have to change them all?

Vallorie

Yes I get weird battery life. I installed two cameras in May. The one on the front of the house is still at 80%. The one on the side of the house is empty. Both have motion sensored identical times and are on the same video quality and length setting. The only difference is that the front camera has three bars of wifi signal strength and the side one has 2 bars of wifi signal strength.

also the side camera has suffered form pixelation, color distortion, unable to play messages etc. the front camera has always performed as expected.

i have now replaced batteries n the side camera and all is working well so far.

While it could be a bad camera, I'd suspect the location first. Swap the cameras around and see if the issue remains with the camera or position.
