According to the following thread, there will be no more firmware updates that will support Arlo on the Netgear R7000 routers. Use a base station instead.

Thank you for sharing this link. The R7000 firmware supporting Arlo is beta firmware and is no longer available.

Unfortunately, that's not the whole story. Yes, it was pulled a month or so ago but there's been exactly one comment about Arlo no longer being supported on the R7k. No product announcement, just a comment buried in the above thread.
