Why is geolocation so hard to get to work with Arlo Secure app, their intrusion alarm system, IPhone

I’ve very tech savvy. Never had an issue with Nest or Phillips Hue or Apple HomeKit.

With Arlo I feel like I’ve stepped back 10 years, having to again use IFTTT to integrate devices into routines, etc.

I cannot get Arlo geolocation to work properly. The previous support messages are unclear or simply wrong. Often they say “go into mode” click on geolocation enabled devices from yosuch as your phone etc. No such layout is available on their app.

Sure you can go into mode and add a new location based action, but then that is listed under automation. And then in automation it simply does not seem to have any setting that allows removal of a phone or some other geolocation devices.

So what’s the solution other than IFTTT???

Well looks like that’s not gonna work. Arlo has about zero support through IFTTT.

Use Settings, Data Privacy, Account, Available Geofence Devices to remove old phones.
