New Arlo UI forced geofencing on anytime I open the app on an iPad

I have the App set to never track location on my iPad since I rarely travel with it. However, anytime I open the app it automatically adds it to geofencing device list in the Privacy settings. So in order to get geofencing to properly work after I use the app on my iPad I have to use my iPhone to remove the iPad from the geofencing device list. Is there a way to permanently exclude devices from being added to the geofencing list? This is pretty annoying if I ever want to use the app on my iPad.

You should be able to adjust the participating devices within your Arrive/leave settings. Navigate to Routines > Arrive/Leave and change from "Anyone Arrives" to "Specific People Arrive" and select which devices you want to participate.
