      <title>Change in subscription and recording</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I've started receiving notifications about needing to start a subscription with my Arlo setup at home.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've been running the same setup for years with H8 cameras and have not had any issues and seemed to have free 30 days recording on my devices.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I purchased an additional two cameras H9's to go with my H8 setup and now apparently I don't have recording capability at all anymore??&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I disconnected two cameras to allow use of the new H9's has this caused some issue with my account now? Or all cameras require a subscription for recording now?&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Are there any other options for recording? Pretty disappointed that I'm now expected to pay a subscription to access the functions I've had for free previously.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any suggestions or help is appreciated.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;The "H" revision numbers aren't very useful, as they don't identify the camera model.&amp;nbsp; (The "H" is just the hardware revision for the model, and they are not unique).&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;There are two possibilities here:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;One is that the free 7-day cloud storage for legacy cameras is limited to 5 unsubscribed cameras in the account.&amp;nbsp; If you go over this limit, you need a subscription.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The second is that Arlo stopped offering this storage for new camera models about 5 years ago.&amp;nbsp; All the currently sold cameras require a subscription for cloud storage.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;That said, if you removed the newly purchased cameras from your account, then you should still be getting the 7-day storage on the remaining old cameras.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
