Hi,

My Arlo base station has lost internet connection, which has happened in the past when we have had a power failure. Unfortunately this time, when powered, the internet connection light on the base station does not light up. Despite no light, I have proceeded through the troubleshooting process of disconnecting the internet cable and power cable without any luck of finding the base station. I have also tried turning of our internet modem and still no success.
We borrowed a friends VMB3000 base station and the same thing happened

Is anyone able to shed any light on this issue please?

My Arlo base station has lost internet connection, which has happened in the past when we have had a power failure.

Unfortunately this time, when powered, the internet connection light on the base station does not light up.

We borrowed a friends VMB3000 base station and the same thing happened

These symptoms suggest that the ethernet port on the modem/gateway has failed - perhaps due to a power surge.

If it has more than one ethernet LAN port, then try a different one. Although it is possible that the entire set has failed (since there is common circuitry).

If it has failed, you would either need to get another gateway, or alternatively get a wifi extender with ethernet out. Pair the extender to the gateway wifi, and then connect the ethernet port on the extender to the base.

If you have frequent power outages, you might consider getting a UPS that can power both the gateway and the base.
