Macbook - cannot stream video from web portal (safari/chrome) timeout

Not sure if this is an M1/M2 compatibility thing

Have 2 base stations with cameras connected to my wifi home networks

iPhone arlo app works great - no problem

I cannot get the my Arlo wbsite to stream videos on my MacBook Air M2 (2022). It always times out for every camera

My Windows PC at work can stream them just fine when I login - so the issue seems to be with MACOS

Other things I have tried

- streaming fails with both safari and chrome - browser doesn't matter - timeout always

- turned off antivirus and 1blocker (disabled) - no effect

- tried using both home wifi and 5g rather with my MacBook - same issue

Therefore all I can confirm so far is that it is an issue with my specific MacBook and not related to router ports etc since it works in the other above situations

Is there some macOS security thing affecting browsers in this way?
