I've been around since nearly the introduction of Arlo cameras and don't ever recall seeing RC123 batteries for sale. They did offer the Tenergy rechargeable ones but since these cameras (the original wireless ones) have long been out of production and are EOLed I don't see any reason for Arlo to still offer them. Besides, any search will produce a large number of places selling them since those batteries are used in a wide variety of other devices (My August smart lock uses them).

BTW, back in the day , Jeff and I tested many brands of rechargeable 123s....

out of all of them, the nitecore was prob the most true, consistent one.

As a side note, most RECHARGEABLE batts will be rated at about 650 to 750mahr, you physically can NOT fit more chems in the battery for more ( so if you see one rated for 1500mahr or 2000, it BS )

READ THIS 2015 thread LONG THREAD

https://community.arlo.com/t5/Arlo/Rechargeable-batteries-for-use-with-Arlo-cameras/m-p/1652

Cliff notes here;

As mentioned, Tenergy 3.7v li-ion are the only approved rechargables for the added safety features in the charger and cells....

Many 3.7v li-ion were tested in the past , some better than others, some junk ( esp from china ).... all will work but verify that they do have protections for over charge / over drain with a suitable charger. One or two brands were possibly a fire harzard.

If you do a good search, some of the findings are still listed.

Just a few hints if you choose rechargeables;

Tenergy are the only Netgear approved ( they work well )

No 123 rechargeable cell withh support more than about 700mahr ( cant phyically fit enough chems in that package )

Most ebay cells are junk

MOST IMPORTANT; that cells have a PCB to prevent over drain/ over charge

LiFepo4 123 cells tended NOT to work well in Arlo

Do not use 3.2v li-ion but use the 3.7v li-ion cells
