&lt;P&gt;You might need one for cloud storage - that depends on what model cameras you own.&amp;nbsp; If you aren't sure, open the cameras and remove the battery.&amp;nbsp; There is a label inside.&amp;nbsp; (If the housing doesn't open, then you must have an Essential model).&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I had 3 active Arlo cameras in my old house. When I moved, I disconnected and brought them with me. Now, less than 2 years later I want to reconnect the Arlo system to supplement my hardwired Ring system. Arlo does not recognize base station ( 3 lights are green, middle one blinks). Do I have to activate my account/pay to have it work again?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
