Arlo VMB4540 Mobile app Access

Hi all,

I want to be able to view videos from an Arlo Essential indoor camera *without* an Arlo Secure subscription. The customer service representative told me that I can do that with a VMB4540 base station assuming the videos will be stored locally on a USB drive.

So I want to know if anyone else in the community has successfully done this and is able to view videos from a VMB4540 base without Arlo Secure subscription.

The direct storage access feature will work but has it’s limitations.
