If we are away and our system picks up a brake in - does the system alert the police and fire department if we cannot respond to the call or text?

Thanks for the question, with the Security system and the Arlo & and secure Pro plan this should be enabled by default if you have Emergency response setup. You can also adjust the rules for the automations appropriately to suit your needs.
