Are you using the mobile app to add the base station, what is the base station led showing?

If your using the mobile app make sure your mobile is connected to the local wifi network.

Alternatively use a pc connected to the router modem to add via the arlo web portal, my.arlo.com.

Disable VPN if you’re using it.
