SD card in base station VMC5040 always showing gray color

My Arlo Manual states that the SD card indicator shown in the Arlo app for the VMC5040 Base Station should show in a yellow color when it is formatted and ready for use. Apparently it should be gray color when it is not available. My SD card indicator is gray all of the time and the storage status shows as "Good". The videos are available locally and Storage status also indicates "Ready" The videos are readily available in the Library under the Base Station. My question is: Why am I not seeing the "Yellow" SD card indicator? Why is my SD card indicator always showing in a gray color?

Which version of the mobile app are you using (iOS or Android)?

If the color of the icon is the only issue (the feature is working as expected), this may just be an outdated reference to the icon behavior. I will consult with internal resources to see what the behavior should be.
